    A number of Postdoctoral Fellow and Ph.D./M.S. Students positions are available in a newly being established Center for Sustainable Transportation (CST) at Tongji University, Shanghai, China. The successful applicants for the positions will join a highly motivated multidisciplinary team with sustained funding from Central and other levels government and conduct basic and applied research on Resilient & Sustainable Transportation Technology and Policy (RSTTP) for applications in urban, highway and airfield transportation system.


    Applicants for postdoc positions should have a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Economics, or other relevant disciplines. Research experience in Sustainable Transportation Infrastructure is preferred but not required. Successful candidates are expected to conduct independent research with minimal supervision and high self-motivation, publish technical papers in international journals, and present their research work in international conferences. Applicants with good verbal and written English skills and computer skills are preferred.

Review of applicants will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled. Stipend and benefits package for the postdoc and student positions will be VERY competitive based on the qualifications of the applicants, including joint and/or visiting programs between Tongji University and University of California, Davis and other universities. The regular term for a postdoc fellow is two years with a possible extension of a third year.
